ถ้าหากพูดถึง Butterfly เราก็คงนึกถึงกลุ่มคนดนตรี ผู้อยู่ทั้งเบื้องหน้าเบื้องหลัง รวมไปถึงงาน ทางด้านดนตรีต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น งาน Producer, เขียนเพลง, การบันทึกเสียงในสตูดิโอ, เพลงประกอบโฆษณา เพลงประกอบภาพยนตร์ ฯลฯ และยังมี Butterfly Studio และ โรงเรียนดนตรี ศศิลิยะ (School of rock ของเมืองไทย) ที่เป็นแหล่งให้โอกาส และสร้างฝีมือให้กับคนรุ่นใหม่ และมีฝีมือ ในวงการดนตรีบ้านเรา และพวกเขาได้ บัญญัติ ความหมายใน วงการเพลงไทยของคำที่เรียกว่า Production team ในการทำเพลงขึ้นมาในเมืองไทย (เชื่อหรือไม่! เพลงเดียวกันที่ Peter Corp Direndal และ 4 Gotten นำมาร้องใหม่นั้นแหละครับ)กับความเปลี่ยงแปลงเมื่อ ชุดนี้ ไม่มี อุกฤษฏ์ พลางกูร เป็นมือกีต้าร์ ในวงแล้ว แต่ก็ทดแทนด้วย อัสนี โชติกุล ที่พกพา เสียงกีต้าร์ อันเร้าร้อน ผ่านเสียงกีต้าร์ Les Paul คู่บุญ ของ อัสนี รวมไปถึงเสียง synthesizer สำเนียง oriental ของ อนุวัฒน์ และ keyboard ที่รุนแรง และ แพรวพราว ของ สุรสีห์ สร้างการโลดแล่น ของ เจ้าผีเสื้อ ผ่านโลกมนุษย์ และ หาก โลกคือละคร โรงใหญ่ ทุกคนย่อมแสดงไปตามกลไก และบทบาท หน้าที่ ที่ได้รับ เช้าขึ้นมาเมื่อใด มนุษย์ เหล่านั้น ก็เตรียมพร้อม คำสั่ง Action! ผลงานชุดนี้น่ายินดีอย่างหนึ่งคือ ผลตอบรับกระเตื้องดีขึ้น จากสองชุดที่แล้ว บ้าง อาจเป็นเพราะ การได้แสดงสด และ การออกทีวี และได้มาอยู่ค่ายเพลง ที่คุ้นเคย และมีสื่อทีวี อยู่ในมือตอนนั้น อย่างแกรมมี่ ทำให้มีคนกล่าวถึง ผลงานชุดนี้บ้าง ในหมู่คนฟัง เพลงไทยสมัยใหม่ หรือ ผู้พิศมัย เพลงฝรั่ง ก็ฟังเพลงชุดนี้ ได้อย่างไม่เขอะเขิน และในตอนนั้น Butterfly ได้แสดงสดในรายการ concert หยุดโลก ทางช่อง 9 น่าจะเป็นอีกประการหนึ่งที่ได้รับการกล่าวถึง และยกย่องในฝีมือ และนักดนตรี ระดับ super group วงนี้ของเมืองไทย จากวันนั้น หลายคนเช่นสุรสีห์ กับงานเดี่ยว ทั้ง 4 ชุด ที่ได้รับคำวิจารณ์ ที่ดี และหนึ่งในศิลปินผู้สร้างสรรค์ ในวงการเพลงไทย หรือ อัสนี กับในงานในนาม อัสนี-วสันต์ กับน้องชายของเขา ที่ได้รับการตอบรับทั้งเงิน ทั้งกล่อง อีกทั้ง บทเพลงสำเนียง rockabilly แบบ ไทยๆ ที่โดนและเข้าถึง ผู้ฟัง ที่เรียกว่า ‘จิ๋กโก๋อกหัก’ รวมไปถึง เหล่า back up ระดับสุดยอดของเมืองไทย ที่มาเล่นให้ สองพี่น้อง โชติกุล (วีระ โชควิเชียร, เอกมันต์ โพธิ์พันธุ์ทอง, พิเชษฏ์ เคลือวัลย์ etc.)กฤษณ์ เป็น producer ของ แกรมมี่ และทำงานในห้องอัด พวก mixed เสียงอันเป็นแนวทางตั้งแต่วัยหนุ่ม รวมไปถึง การตั้ง วงดนตรี supergroup กับ producer คนเขียนเพลง ของ แกรมมี่ อย่าง สมชัย ขำเลิศกุล และ อรรณพ จันสุตะ ในนาม ‘กัมปะนี’ ที่ยังมีเพลงดังอมตะ อย่าง ‘สรุปว่า บ้า’, กลับคำเสีย หรือเพลง progressive มหากาพย์ อย่าง ‘แม่เดียวกัน’, ‘นักเดินทาง’ รวมไปถึงเพลง create น่ารักๆ อย่าง ‘ก๋วยเตี๋ยวผัดไทย’ อนุวัฒน์ ก็กลายเป็น producer ในแกรมมี่ อีกคนเช่นกัน (แต่ไปทำ ทิวา ฮูลา ฮูล่า เสียแล้ว โธ่…) คนเดียวกับที่เขีนทำนองเพลง ให้ เบิร์ด ธงไชย เกือบทุกชุด และ เพลง กวีบทเก่า ของ นูโว นั้นแหละครับ กรเณศ ยังเป็นมือกลอง ในนาม dynamc band ร่วมกับ สุรสีห์ เล่นตามร้าน และ ผับ รวมไปถึง rock events ต่างๆ ด้วย นี่แหละครับความเป็นไปของผีเสื้อเด็กแนว ทางดนตรี กลุ่มนี้ ที่ปัจจุบันพวกเขาก็ยังอยู่ในแวดวงวงดนตรีอยู่ และบางคนก็ได้เป็นผู้บริหารเพลง และยังสร้างโอกาส เด็กรุ่นใหม่ ต่อไป เหมือนตอนที่พวกเขาให้โอกาส เด็กๆในวันนั้นที่ ศศิลิยะ และ ห้องอัด Butterfly นี่แหละครับ คนดนตรี ตัวจริง และเป็นตำนาน ที่ยังมีลมหายใจอยู่ หาก ใครสักคนถามว่า หากมี Rock n’roll of fame ในเมืองไทยขึ้นมา คุณจะเสนอชื่อใคร ผมตอบยังไม่คิดเลยครับว่า ผมจะเสนอ Butterfly เป็น เบอร์แรก เลย
